Legal and Ethical Considerations
This webinar series provides an in‑depth exploration of the complex legal, ethical, and regulatory framework governing organ and tissue donation. Designed for healthcare professionals, donation coordinators, administrators, and partner organizations, the series examines how laws, ethical principles, and regulatory requirements shape donation practices across the continuum of care.
Participants will gain a practical understanding of federal and state regulations, consent and authorization processes, donor rights, and the ethical challenges encountered in real-world donation scenarios. Through expert-led discussions and applied examples, the series emphasizes compliance, ethical decision-making, and collaboration among healthcare teams and organ procurement organizations (OPOs). The ultimate goal is to strengthen confidence, consistency, and integrity in donation practices while honoring donors and their families.

From Referral to Recovery
This webinar series demystifies what happens after a referral is made for organ, tissue, or eye donation, providing clarity, transparency, and practical insight for healthcare professionals. It walks participants step by step through the post‑referral process, from initial evaluation and donor management to authorization, collaboration with clinical teams, and eventual recovery or closure.
Designed to strengthen trust and teamwork between hospitals and donation organizations, the series highlights roles, communication pathways, clinical considerations, and decision points that occur after a referral. By increasing understanding of these processes, participants will be better equipped to support timely referrals, coordinate care, communicate confidently with families, and contribute to successful donation outcomes — whether or not donation ultimately proceeds.
