Facebook Support Group

Iowa Donor Net­work (IDN) is proud to offer a Donor Fam­i­ly Face­book Group. This group is admin­is­tered by IDN’s Donor Fam­i­ly Care Depart­ment for the pur­pose of pro­vid­ing a forum for donor fam­i­lies to con­nect with and sup­port one anoth­er along their grief jour­ney. As a mem­ber of this group, you will have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to share infor­ma­tion about your loved one, dis­cuss your expe­ri­ences, ask for sup­port and advice from oth­er donor fam­i­lies, and offer sup­port and advice to oth­er fam­i­lies. It also pro­vides an oppor­tu­ni­ty for donor fam­i­lies to com­mu­ni­cate and inter­act with IDN’s Donor Fam­i­ly Com­pan­ions. An IDN staff mem­ber will mon­i­tor the group on a dai­ly basis dur­ing nor­mal busi­ness hours to answer any ques­tions, address con­cerns, pro­vide infor­ma­tion about upcom­ing events, and ensure the guide­lines of the group are being followed.

Join the Group:

This pri­vate Face­book group offers a space for donor fam­i­lies to con­nect, share, and find sup­port. The group is set up so that only mem­bers can see the group, who is in it, and what mem­bers post.

To help ensure this remains a safe and sup­port­ive space for donor fam­i­lies, indi­vid­u­als will be asked to answer three secu­ri­ty ques­tions when request­ing to join. Iowa Donor Net­work staff will review and approve each request.

Once your request is approved, you will receive a mem­ber agree­ment from Iowa Donor Net­work staff to review and com­plete. After the agree­ment is sub­mit­ted, you will be added to the group.
