This Valentine's day marks eight years since Hailey Steimel received the gift of life through a heart transplant. Hailey was born with a congenital heart defect and her heart began to fail on her at the age of 16.

(KWWL)-- The Iowa Donor Network reports that 365 organs were transplanted in 2021, from 128 deceased organ donors. The network has continued to see exponential progress in the last four years, breaking their record each year.
