Join UnityPoint Health - Trinity Bettendorf and Iowa Donor Network as we honor the gift of life by raising the Donate Life Flag.

This event honors organ and tissue donors and brings awareness of the importance of organ, tissue and eye donation. Every eight minutes another person is added to the national organ transplant waiting list and UnityPoint Health helps connect patients and families with organ donation services.

There are just over 103,000 people on the national transplant waiting list with nearly 4,000 in Illinois and more than 600 in Iowa. On average, 17 people die each day waiting for an organ transplant. Registering to become an organ donor takes only minutes but can have a lasting impact on those in need. One organ donor can save up to eight lives and a single tissue donor can enhance the lives of more than 75 people.
