More details about the event itself are available at Des Moines Winter Market, but here's an idea of what to expect:
The three-day Market will bring local vendors, holiday shopping, food and live entertainment to Capital Square, with food trucks located just outside on Cowles Commons. Admission is free. Shop from an incredible selection of local seasonal produce, meat, cheese, eggs, jam, jelly and salsa, along with an array of unique holiday gifts. Discover handcrafted art, cozy winter décor and one-of-a-kind finds perfect for gifting from local businesses. Enjoy live entertainment and treat yourself to breakfast or lunch from a variety of local vendors, all while supporting small businesses and celebrating the best of the holiday season.
