“Since becoming a volunteer for IDN in 2015, I have been an advocate to family and friends about donation and helped get them signed up to be a donor. In 2019, organ donation did touch my life personally when my Mom passed away. My Mom was a woman of great faith who found joy in everything she did. I miss so much about my Mom; all the laughter we shared, the songs she used to sing, the way she told a joke, and how she wouldn’t let you leave her house until you played a game of cards with her. She thought she was too old to be a donor, but she would be so proud to know she was able to donate her corneas.”
