  • Position Overview:

    Responsible for developing and implementing the strategic initiatives of an organizational fundraising program. Cultivate, solicit and manage the stewardship of financial contributors including, individuals, corporations and foundations. Ensure a high standard of quality in tracking, reporting and analyzing financial donor data. Plan fund raising events.

  • Job Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or Allied Health and two years of fund raising experience required. The successful candidate has demonstrated ability to establish priorities, manage projects and function independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Strong organizational and analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively preferred.

    Essential Job Functions and Performance Expectations:

    1. Research, develop, implement and evaluate fund raising programs to achieve annual financial contribution goals.
      1. Develop an annual fundraising plan in support of the organization’s strategic plan.
      2. Develop and present an analysis of prior year’s fundraising activities and outcomes.
    2. Secure individual, corporate and foundation gifts by identifying prospective contributors, cultivating relationships and completing applications.
      1. Solicit contributions and respond to inquiries from current and potential financial contributors.
      2. Develop and maintain relationships between IDN and financial contributors.
      3. Identify and apply for applicable grants. Submit funding reports as required.
    3. Create, produce and reconcile reports of financial gifts received and manage a recognition process.
      1. Reconcile contributions received on a monthly basis.
      2. Manage a process of recognition for financial contributors.
    4. Develop and implement fund raising programs and events which may include but are not limited to Donor Memorial Garden events, runs/walks or golf outings.
      1. Conduct planned appeal campaigns.
      2. Solicit funds for planned special events.
      3. Support community members in hosting their own events/fundraisers.
    5. Develop and produce fund raising materials including appeal letters and reports to the community.
      1. Budget and plan for production of fund raising materials.
      2. Produce or oversee production of fund raising collateral materials including case statements, brochures, newsletters and reports.
    6. Manage contributor database, online giving and data integrity.
      1. Oversee budget, selection and management of fund raising database.
      2. Ensure thorough and accurate documentation in the contributor database and maintain the processing of gifts following IRS regulations. Maintain and promote a program of online giving.

    1. Lift equipment and supplies weighing up to 20 lbs.

    5. Maintain availability for communication 24/7/365.

    Skills and Abilities:

    1. Ability to use critical thinking skills and work effectively in high stress situations.
    2. Participate in or conduct crucial conversations.
    3. Maintain a current valid driver’s license and be insurable through IDN’s insurance.
    4. Skill and ability to effectively use computers and computer software including word processing, databases, spreadsheets, Internet tools, and electronic mail.
    5. Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing when representing IDN; work well with others; take and give direction; demonstrate effective problem-solving skills; ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
    6. Ability to effectively and professionally represent IDN in local and national venues.
